'Why Poetry Matters', 2016 book anthology!

Realistic Poetry International is pleased to present the,

'Why Poetry Matters', 2016 book anthology!

Poetry, like many other renown forms of literature has proven to be a timeless art of expression, effectively impacting those who write it, and even influencing those who read it.
There are countless reasons as to why poetry matters; whether it's the phenomenal ability to be able to make a difference, or the fact that poetry creatively conveys our perspectives and emotions, it has been established worldwide that poetry matters.
In our sincerest efforts to magnify these reasons, in this Realistic Poetry International anthology, we are inviting poets to share their own reasons as to why poetry matters to them in poetry format. This is a great opportunity for all poets to unite and celebrate the importance, wonders, and power of poetry.
If you are interested and would like to contribute to this collaboration, please read the details and guidelines related to the, 'Why Poetry Matters' book anthology. If you have any questions, please send an email to realisticpoetry@yahoo.com, we are more than happy to assist you!

Poetry Saved Me' book anthology!

'Realistic Poetry International is proud to present the 2016

Poetry Saved Me' book anthology!

This inspiring poetry project allows poets the opportunity to share their own personal testimony of how poetry has positively impacted their life or the life of someone else.
For centuries, poetry's relevance has soared far beyond entertainment purposes, often helping us get through some of the most difficult times of our lives.
In a world where comfort and understanding can sometimes be scarce, poetry has been known to provide many of us with a productive outlet that helps us
grow in our journeys as we reflect back on some of our darkest days.
Progressively moving forward, we are then able to truly celebrate just how far we have come today as survivors of our circumstances.
So, join us this year in this Realistic Poetry collaboration for poets and proudly tell the world, how poetry saved you!
If you are interested in becoming a feature in this book, please be sure to read all guidelines and details associated with this project first. If you have any additional questions, please send an email to realisticpoetry@yahoo.com

Forgive me. I have lied and cheated.

I Lied to you
http://www.realisticpoetry.com/quotes-new-oldI made you a promise and I did not keep it, and for that, I am sorry. Years ago, when we first met, I exposed all of my deepest feelings for you, and for so long, it was only you and I. We were like best friends and nothing in the world could ever separate us. I remember staying up through the long night in silence; you never complained, even when I wet you with my salty tears. It was on one of those lonesome nights that I made a solemn promise to you. I vowed that I would forever keep you by my side. Strangers could only see you as an old notebook with easily torn pages; some full, some empty, but it didn’t matter. In my world, you became so much more. It was as if you and I had bonded into one, never to be a part.
I thought we would be together forever…until I met this new shiny laptop. It saddens me to say that ever since, you and I have only grown further and further apart. I have severely neglected you. I can clearly remember our last day together, you gave me a paper cut right before I threw you in a dark, cold, crowded closet. The cut annoyed me, but I now know that you were only desperately trying to get my attention. I’m sorry I did not listen, and I’m even more sorry that I lied to you. I am stuck with no electricity now and I really need someone to talk to! After the lights went out, the laptop refused to stick around for longer than an hour. I need you now, Notebook! Please, come out of the closet and give me one last chance to love you, yet again. Please, tell me we are still friends.

A woman deserves so much more love, recognition, and respect for all that she is and all that she does.

A woman deserves so much more love, recognition, and respect for all that she is and all that she does.

A woman deserves so much more love, recognition, and respect for all that she is and all that she does. She is strong like a fortress, yet gentle, caring, and understanding. She often carries so much of the worlds heavy burdens with little complaint and still wears one of the most priceless smiles. She has been put down, beat up, lied to, and discouraged, but somehow, brilliantly manages to find her way back to the surface. Her body acts as the first sacred home to our offspring, providing nourishment and shelter for our developing babies that will one day become the future. Each and every one of us have had to pass through the protection of a woman’s womb, which in itself is simply amazing! A woman’s love is worth more than all the material things that a man can ever give or obtain. She is resilient and motivated despite what she has been through and is unafraid of her tears. She is beautiful inside and out and virtuosity is like her crown. Our world would be incomplete without the presence of a strong, loving, compassionate, beautiful woman.

black-on-black crime, violence, drugs, family, prostitution, education, etc

A Black Racist talks about black racism in America ( Must See )

We should all take pride in the meaning behind the phrase, ‘freedom of speech’, even knowing that in articulating our views, thoughts, and opinions, our peers and viewers will have a response, thus we are fairly subject to critique, whether negative or positive. With this being said, since Delano Johnson has taken the initiative to honestly express his views, specifically about the African-American community’s current social and cultural state, he has received comments and feedback from many individuals of all colors, ethnicities, and from many diverse backgrounds, subsequently, Mr. Johnson was deemed as being ‘racist’ against Black people, apparently because of his choice and strong stance against the current adverse trends that are popularly rampant in the Black community, such as and relating to: black-on-black crime, violence, drugs, family, prostitution, education, etc.

In response to the feedback that he has received, this video and message was created, explicitly to reiterate why he stands behind his choice to NOT support or encourage the negative trends that are influencing our black youth and children, and to emphasize why he does choose to inspire change, positivity, education, wisdom, truth, and love. Our voice and words are two of the most powerful and influential tools that we are able to use to help others and encourage change. Your voice matters. Please share your thoughts and opinions about this video and also about the African-American community. It all starts with a discussion.

Get a book review in 48 hours or less!

Most reviewers charge ridiculous prices just to give a not-so-honest critique of your book.
Not to mention the long period of time you are forced to wait just to receive the review. We have heard time and time again from authors that have spent hundreds of dollars on professional reviews that the review does not live up to the expectations that many authors have for their work, often lacking substance, appeal, and thoroughness.  We will gladly provide you with a fast, honest, and thorough book review for only $10.00! We will guarantee that the book review is completed within 48 hours or sooner!

http://www.realisticpoetry.com/free-reviewsWe do offer FREE reviews but cannot guarantee a time and date. All reviews are honest and we do not accept payment for higher ratings on other book promotion sites. We will always ensure fair reviewing and all reviews are final. Our reviews can help you sell your book, and will help your work gain the reputation it deserves!

For only $10.00 we share your book and the review we write with the most popular social media networks! Guaranteed to get you and your book more exposure and more book sales!

We will not sell you lies and fairy-tales as many other companies often do, Realistic Poetry International firmly believes in honesty and trust. So you may ask, what's the catch? This sounds too good to be true, right? Well, in order to participate in this incredible opportunity, you must support at least one other persons work. It is critical that we ignite a strong cycle of support for one another in order to create a more thriving, successful, poetry community. The more poets you support, the better for you and also everyone else! Showing support is easy. You can show your support by simply liking, sharing, or providing feedback to another poet’s poem. We also ask that you share this opportunity with other poets so all writers may hear about the good news! That is all.

We will not be publishing any poem posted on this page of realisticpoetry.com. You will maintain all rights to your work. This includes copyrights and trademarks. We will not store your poem anywhere else with the exception of this page. There is no cost necessary to post your poem. You are allowed to post a poem that has been previously published. This is about you, not us, so do not feel obligated to do anything else on realisticpoetry.com beyond posting your poem. This is strictly a great opportunity for poets with no strings attached. If you would like, feel free to explore and visit other pages on the site to find out more about support, poetry, publishing, and many other beneficial features! We cannot make you rich but we can definitely contribute time, support, and honesty, plus, 5% of select Realistic Poetry book sales and other sold Realistic Poetry trademarked products. We truly do hope that we will inspire and uplift poetry and poets from all around the globe!

How Much Can you Make?

We are a small family-owned company and we work very hard for every dollar that we earn. Making money with poetry has been a challenge, but it is definitely possible. Timing, hard work, persistence, and consistency are key factors in any poet’s success. With us being poets, we do understand how challenging it can be to make money while doing what you love. We also know that it can be just as difficult to receive honest and thorough feedback on your work. So, with that being said, we are here to help! We have pledged to donate 5% of our own earned proceeds to this poetry cause. The current status of the Realistic Poetry contribution fund begins at $500.00 and will be replenished with an additional $500.00 every time it is depleted.

To ensure every poet has a fair chance to earn money, payouts will begin at $1.00 for each selected poem posted. The date of payouts will always be visible at the top of the page so you can keep track of when payouts occur and how much more time you have until the next payout begins. There is no limit to how many poems will be selected. There will be a minimum of 5 poems chosen. A maximum of 200 poems are eligible to be picked in one payout cycle. That means in one payout cycle each one of your poems would be eligible to win $1.00 out of $200.00. The more poems you submit, the more money you can win out of the $200.00.

A poem selected for payout in one given cycle will NOT be eligible for a second payout in any other payout cycle. There is no cost or information needed from you, the participant. All you are required to do is post your poem in the area provided and show support to at least one other poet. All poets will have the opportunity to earn money at least once. We wish we could give more and as our success continues to grow we will continue to give back more to you by increasing the Realistic Poetry contribution fund, which will ultimately increase payout amounts for poems. So, what does this mean for you? More money for doing what you love, writing poetry!

All poets are encouraged and welcome to submit their poetry! Every writer deserves the opportunity to share their work with the world and also earn money while doing so! Even if it is not a lot, every dollar can count for something!

You can submit as many times as you would like, there are absolutely no limitations! Poems that are unacceptable due to inappropriate content will be deleted without warning. There are no restrictions on length and we appreciate many diverse styles of poetry! If you are a new poet, please, do not be afraid or discouraged! We have read many poems written by amateurs that have far exceeded the average standards of well-written poetry. This is not a competition. We will try our best to ensure all poets have the opportunity to get paid for their poems! We cannot express how important participation is in order to earn as much money as you can! So, don’t hold back, tell everyone you know and let’s see how much of our money you can take!

Why give away your money?

Realistic Poetry simply loves poetry and poets who devote their precious time to write poetry. We believe that every word matters and our own poetic journey has been filled with many ups and downs. Most of the downs involve the lack of funding. Nonetheless, we are determined to do what we love while also finding a successful way to make a living at it. We have heard several times that earning money is not important, especially when it comes to poetry, and although it is a true statement, money is still very relevant to an independent artist and their career with aspirations of discovering economic freedom. The time dedicated to create poetry and also promote it to the world is necessary so that others may also read, enjoy, and grow from our work! Many of us write for the soul while others write to make a significant difference in other people’s lives.

Inevitably, we must face it; in today’s society it cost money to do what you love, but many artists are bound by the responsibility and obligation of punching a time clock, committing most of their time to another company’s financial success. Although poetry is not currently mainstream, we do believe in poetry’s abilities and we also believe in you! We are not rich, but we will try our best to give back to the poetry community. We understand that the payouts are not currently enough to help you achieve the ultimate economic freedom you deserve, but it begins with someone, somewhere, putting forth the earnest effort for us all! Together, we will show and tell the world that you and I are worth it! We will use our poetry to encourage, inspire, and uplift one another, never to tear anyone down. We are not competing with anyone nor should you feel in competition. We are here to support one another and build each poet up! We are doing it for you and for poetry! This is no longer a vision and we are done just talking about what we would like to do to help the poetry community. It is now time to put our words into action! We will resourcefully use what we have to begin growing poetry and all of its most treasurable, valuable seeds!

If you enjoy writing poetry, whether for entertainment purposes or for professional use, do not pass up this exclusive opportunity! Take advantage of the chance to earn money simply by posting your poem below! You do not need to do anything else, just simply post your poem and start earning cash! Don't forget to click the 'share to Facebook' box to maximize your exposure and share with more of your family and friends!

Poetry is a healer and oasis to many that are hopeless. Poetry is an encourager and ignites motivation in the ambitionless. Poetry can make a difference in this world.... and it starts with you!

Poetry is a gift to the world, full of surprise! It is like a precious embellished ornamnet that sometimes even fancily decorates our hearts, beutifully with charm and grace.
